Same-day relief for real pain.
Most weekdays, if you call before noon, we'll see you the same afternoon. Some emergencies aren't actually urgent — we'll tell you on the phone.
Call first
Dental pain rarely improves on its own, and most emergencies are easier the sooner they're seen. Call us first — we triage by phone and slot true urgencies into the day.
If we can't see you in a sensible window, we'll tell you where to go (ER for facial swelling and trauma; a closer practice if we're booked). We won't string you along.
Triage, relief, then plan.
Emergency visits are different from routine ones. The goal is to get you out of pain first — the long-term plan comes after.
-
01
Phone triage
Call, describe the pain. We'll tell you whether to come in, what to do at home, and how soon.
5–10 minutes -
02
Same-day exam
Targeted X-ray and exam — we're looking for the cause, not running a full check-up.
~ 20 minutes -
03
Get you comfortable
Drain an abscess, place a temporary filling or crown, pull a non-saveable tooth — whatever stops the pain.
20–60 minutes -
04
Plan the rest
Once you're not in pain, we sit down and plan any follow-up: a root canal, a permanent crown, an implant.
~ 10 minutes
Most things, most of the time.
Each option below is available in-house — quoted in writing, no surprises.
Severe toothache
Throbbing, swelling, fever — usually a nerve issue. We diagnose, drain if needed, and start treatment.
Broken or chipped tooth
Sharp edges that cut your tongue or a visibly broken tooth — bonded same day, crowned later.
Crown or filling fell out
Bring the piece if you have it. We re-seat or replace it in one visit.
Knocked-out tooth
Time-sensitive — put it in milk, call us immediately. Re-implantation within an hour gives the best odds.
Emergency Dentistry FAQs.
Don't see your question? Send us a note — we'll answer plainly.
- Are you open on weekends?
- Yes, Saturdays 8 AM – 4 PM. Sunday is reserved for the on-call doctor — call the main line and you'll be patched through.
- I'm not a current patient. Can you see me?
- Yes — we keep emergency slots open for new patients. We don't make you become a patient to get out of pain.
- What if it's an after-hours emergency?
- Call the main line — the message gives the on-call number. Severe trauma (broken jaw, large facial swelling, can't breathe) should go to the ER, not us.
- Will my insurance cover an emergency visit?
- Most plans cover emergency exams and a limited X-ray. We bill them directly, and you'll know your out-of-pocket before we start treatment.
