New patients
First-visit basics.
Most of what we get asked in the first phone call.
- Are you taking new patients?
- Yes — we always keep a few new-patient slots open each week. Book online or call (555) 000-0000 and we'll confirm a time within one business day.
- What should I bring to my first visit?
- Insurance card if you have one, a list of medications, and your previous dentist's name (we can request records on your behalf). That's all.
- How long is the first appointment?
- About an hour for routine new-patient visits — slightly longer if you haven't been seen in years. Closer to 90 minutes if combined with a cleaning.
- Can I get an appointment this week?
- Almost always. Same-day emergency exams are available daily, and routine cleanings usually book within 4–7 days.

Insurance & billing
How the money part works.
Itemized in writing before any chair time. Full billing policy.
- What insurance do you accept?
- Most major dental plans — Delta Dental, Cigna, MetLife, Aetna, BlueCross BlueShield, Guardian, United Concordia, and Humana, plus most state Medicaid plans. We bill them directly so you don't front the cost.
- No insurance — what then?
- Ask about our flat-fee membership plan: cleanings, exams, and X-rays included for an annual fee, plus a discount on other treatments. We also accept HSA/FSA and offer 6-month financing through CareCredit.
- How do you handle pricing?
- Itemized, in writing, before treatment. If a plan changes mid-procedure, we stop and re-quote. No surprise bills.
- Do you offer payment plans?
- Yes — CareCredit (6-month no-interest for plans over $500), in-house payment plans for established patients, and split-by-tooth scheduling so you can pace big treatment over multiple appointments.

Anxious patients
Things we do for nervous visits.
Mark anxiety on day one — every team member sees it.
- I get nervous at the dentist. What do you do?
- We mark anxiety on your chart on day one. Longer visits, headphones, blankets, signal-to-pause options, and (when needed) light sedation are all available. Ask, and we'll plan around you.
- Do you offer sedation?
- Yes — nitrous oxide ("laughing gas") for milder anxiety, and IV sedation for surgical visits or severe phobia. Discussed before scheduling, never pushed.
- Will I be judged for waiting too long to come back?
- No. Most patients who haven't been in years are anxious about exactly that — and it's not a useful conversation. We focus on what we're seeing now and what to do next.
